Good day Dave, I am not at home to check the manual but if i am not mistaken, and if I am someone will chime in, the sensr is on the generator cover lh side of engine near the water pump housing. I could be getting confused with the ST3 but i think they are both in same place .
The one i had an issue with the sensor had swollen up and was obviously breaking down. All it is in relatively plain english, its a magnetic sensor that picks up pulses from a gear (46 tooth if i am not mistaken) and sends the impulse to the ECU to initiate the sparks.
