Yes, the ST will be affected by crosswinds just like any other bike. I don't have a lot of experience with other bikes, but I rode my ST3 across I-40 from Oklahoma City, OK into California during the month of April 3 or 4 years ago. I was fully loaded, 1-up, with panniers and top case. The bike was affected by the crosswinds but was pretty stable. This was a quartering wind coming from the left front. For part of one day going across New Mexico the wind was strong enough to push the rear out of alignment with the front. I was getting some graining on the rear tire. It caused me enough concern when I noticed it at a fuel stop that I checked the rear axle alignment at the next two stops. I determined that the wind was the cause when the graining disappeared later that day after the wind died down some.
