Re: [DucatiST] Can someone throw me a bone here

It could be gunk in the injectors if it has not been riden in several years.  I use Berryman's B-12 in my fuel tank on a regular basis to keep my filter and injectors clean.  In fact I use it on everything from my lawn mower to my cars and it can resolve a host of issues.

Subject: [DucatiST] Can someone throw me a bone here

My ST4S had sat around for a while (about 2.5 years) with very little riding. So about 1.5 months ago, got a new battery and got the bike on the road. So far so good. I think I rode it twice... During the last ride, few weeks back, I stopped at Alice's to get a drink and when I came out, the bike would not start. It would crank but nothing else was happening. Tried few times and no go.

Afraid of killing the battery, stopped cranking and left it alone for few minutes... about 10 minutes later gave it another shot, the same results... so waited another 10 minutes and this time it started. Got home and thought to myself, it acted liked the fuel filter was dirty or one of the relays (main or ignition) was bad.

In any case did the easy part first, tried new relays in both places and it had zero effect. Then went to plan B and replaced the fuel filter and again no effect. I am kind of baffled to what is going on.

Any of you have any suggestions on where to go next.

The battery is brand new and fully charged.
Fuel and air filters replaced.
Fresh Oil and Oil-filter.
Checked the main and ignition relays.

Thanks in advance.
