Re: [DucatiST] Cold Tires = Warm Butt

Dog gone it Dave. Sorry to hear of your spill. I've been on the road quite a bit this fall and
have only had one scooting tire episode. But it was a patch of oil and I stayed up thankfully. Is the mirror all you need? I don't have a mirror but thought I'd keep an eye out.

Here in balmy NC it's been quite warm this fall, and weekend riding has been great. I recently purchased a set of Dunlap Sportmax Q2's and found them to be really sticky and responsive. But this weekend, while leaving my neighborhood, I entered a 15MPH corner on COLD tires and COLD pavement. Ka-Booom, I was in a low speed low side spill. Not too much damage to the bike (windscreen, front fairing, left mirror trashed and a few scratches to the left side mid fairing) and all my personal gear worked as needed. I was totally surprised at how fast the front end washed out. So, fellow ST riders, hope you will all be more mindful than I when it comes to cold weather riding.

BTW, if anyone has a left hand mirror for sale, I'd be real interested.
