RE: [DucatiST] Re: Riding with reluctant (?) spouses

This reminds me of a ride in 1979. My wife's first ride on a motorcycle in the mountains.
We were both raised in the flat lands of the coastal plains of NC. Anyway, we jumped on the parkway just a bit north of Asheville, several miles in she is pounding me in the back cause she can see so far off the mountain side, she wanted to stop. I think I did pull over and explain that we were at a mid point in exit options and that she should look at the up hill side as we continued. I did explain this in my sweetest voice. Then we rode into a fog bank...........

Because my better half only pillions infrequently we have a series of
signals that we use to communicate - a squeeze on the waist means she's
happy, a tap on left or right leg means she thinks there's a turn coming up
we need to take, and a thump on the back means "Stop you inconsiderate
b*stard, I want to get off and never ride again!" :-)
