Knew I had missed something! I haven't done my valves in a long while since I'm not riding near what I used to since I'm now gone a lot in the oil patch. Jack, while I have you on here....need to do some brain picking....concerns an '01 996 Superbike....besides hiring and octopus with a prehensil male organ, how do you Plug" in the fuel lines into the bottom of the gas tank and keep them in there while then hooking up the rubber hose and the electrical connector? I put new metal 90 deg male ends on the hoses but getting them to stay is getting to be a major PITA. Had it finally all hooked up then had to pull the tank again..ugh. I am using a small hook to pull the locking tab out to grab the groove in the male ends but by the time I get the hose and the electrical connector connected, they've popped out. Any secret...besides the octopus? I'm thinking of making a block of wood to put under the connectors to hold them in place while I pull the tabs but then you still have the other connections to hook up.
