It occurred to me yesterday while out on the ST for another run that I don't get bored with it. With other bikes, much as I like them and the sensation of being on two wheels and having the scenery change in an elegant fashion, I know when I've had enough and want to turn for home. On the ST, it was 'where shall I go now?' Only some doubt about a air leak on the rear rim had me being prudent, but possibly the flexing of the tyre has re-seated it as the pressure was still OK.
As to the Aprilia V4; if it's like the Honda VFR, it's interesting in a theoretical way but has too many cylinders to have organic character like a twin. Great for warp-speed no doubt, but not for the majority of riding, and certainly not for staying sane and careful. That would be my take anyway...
