[DucatiST] Re: Vibrating front end - 2004 ST3 (8k miles)

Plus 1 to all of that Nick. I have completed all that front caliper/rotor maintenance over the last 6 years on a regular basis to try and remove the pulse. Couple of weeks ago I levered up all the petal washers on the back of the buttons to give them more of a floating type rotor feel but my RH side didn't change as the warp of the disc just took up the clearance as it was allowed to move.

converted the buttons to these two days ago

Now I have the same lever feel as when the bike was new. There is only a a very mild warp in the rotor and the pulse is totally eliminated.

Others are tightness in the caliper piston seals that prevent them floating adequately, and local buildup of pad material caused by holding hot pads to the disc after a high-speed stop.
