Could be the fuel vent. Raise the tank and look at the connections.

Subject: [DucatiST] fuel overflow
probably a stupid question, but here goes ... i just filled up the
bike (02 st4s), rode it 1 mile home, no probs, parked it, noticed a
nice little drip coming out of the hose just underneath the clutch
assembly. stopped dripping after a few seconds. smells like fuel. i
have never noticed this before.
is this hose designed to drip out fuel if tank is filled up a little
too much, or is this a precursor to a bigger issue? was planning a
ride tomorrow morning, but am now thinking i should take it to the
dealer to check out instead. any ideas?
