Hello All,
My '98 ST2 with 58k miles is letting me know that it is looking for some intimate attention. After finding sizeable aluminum dandruff in the oil after 2 oil changes, I think I need to put a steel galley plug in the crank. I plan on changing the main, camshaft, and clutch bearings as well as decarbonize the head and pistons while I am in there.
Could anyone offer me their experience with this? Are there tricks to splitting the cases, setting endfloat? Is there something else I should check while I am in there? Oh, and I am soon to be be w/o a job, so time is much less of a factor than money - I gotta do it on the cheap.
Many thanks,
Justin in SF, CA
