I'm on the drilling rig so can't go out to the garage and check the wrench I have for the plug. I have a set of tools in one drawer that are for my routine maintenance functions so haven't had to look for a particular sized wrench in many a year. I do know mine is sloppy too but wouldn't quite take the next size or English size either. Take a ball pein hammer and a short fat drift and wrap the plug a few times and that may help loosen it up. Also use an appropriate sized allen socket to loosen the plug since you can put more pressure on the tool as opposed to an ell shaped allen wrench.
