Sounds like something I need to add to the arsenal of fillers/adhesives/bonding agents in the workshop! As with all such, the success depends ultimately on preparation, keying the adhesive and supplying some reinforcement. JB Weld has done good service as a sealant for holed cases where a PO's chain bit through on my Alazzurra. I find metal-filled polyesters (rather than epoxy) such as Plastic Padding's Chemical Metal to be very good too, and quicker-setting. However, Ian's broken part would need metal and rivets, I think....
