Thanks for the advice. Job done, took about 20 mins all up. Would have taken less time if my 4 year old wasn't running around the garage wielding a hammer wanting to help me. RH side holes lined up perfect, LH side took a bit of convincing but after i loosened the pipe bracket it was all good.
Cheers, Gilby.

Hi Gilby -
Yes, the lower mount points are threaded holes in the pannier mounts themselves, and the pipes just swing down to them once you've unbolted the upper mounts - takes five minutes tops! Only thing to be careful about is to make sure the bolt ends don't protrude so far on the inside that they could hit the swingarm on full compression, LH side especially. If they look like they could, just add spacers between the pipe and the pannier bracket so the end of the bolt is flush with the end of the threaded hole.
Cheers - Nick

Yep. The exhaust can mount in two positions. The lower is for use with the panniers.Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: "p_gilby01" mailto:p_gilby01@yahoo.com.auSender: st2_owners@yahoogroups.comDate: Sat, 14 Jul 2012 18:01:34 -0000ReplyTo: st2_owners@yahoogroups.comSubject: [DucatiST] ST2 panniers helpJust picked up a 2002 ST2 in awesome condition a couple of weeks ago. It came with panniers but they weren't attached to the bike. When i went to put them on i realised why they weren't attached. A few years ago a new Staintune exhaust was fitted and it is sitting higher than the pannier brackets. The panniers don't even go close to resting on the bracket. Now i know bugger all about this stuff so can someone help me out and tell me if the height of the exhaust can be lowered to fit panniers, or am i stuck with it the way it is??
Cheers,
Gilby.
