Please keep in mind that the ST4s has been my only bike since 2005 when I bought it. And, I've added the Cycle Cat bars and DP seat for better ergonomics.
My big issues with the Multi are:
1. The bars are two wide.
2. The bike is too tall.
3. I couldn't find a comfortable place for my right foot unless I rode with my heels on the pegs. Any other position had my foot up against the exhaust which put it at a weird angle.
4. The throttle was snatchy and grabby and would over rev at times.
Overall it's a nice bike. There is ample power and the electrically adjustable suspension is really nice. But, we just didn't "click". I never really felt as comfortable on the Multi as I do on the ST4s. It was like I was controlling the Multi but not part of it. On the ST4s, I feel like I'm part of the machine.
I would equate it to driving a sedan as opposed to a sports car.

bob, what in particular did you dislike about the multi?
Maybe this will get the conversations going:
A few weeks ago my wife and I spent some quality time with a Multi 1200.
As a result, I will do whatever it takes to keep my '03 ST4s running and on the road.
I was not very impressed with the Multi.

Is the ST group sliding or slid off into a black hole? I get very few post. After my wife and I went down to NC and set a land speed record coming back to
the mountains, I think we need to keep the ST's out there alive. Two up on ours we cameback up 220 from Rockingham to Greensboro at let me just say, a pretty good clip.Robert McNabb
