Re: [DucatiST] what's happened

I'm guessing you test rode the MTS 1200 in SPORT mode! :-)

In my opinion, Sport mode on the MTS 1200 is too much for the street. The throttle response is lightening fast and unleashes the full 150 HP experience a little too aggressively to be comfortable in the tight corners!

Thankfully, there are 3 engine maps to play with on the MTS 1200; 100HP, 150HP Low and 150HP High. Sport Mode is mapped to 150HP High by default. I changed my Sport Mode to 150HP Low. You still have the full 150HP to play with, but the throttle response is more progressive and MUCH easier to live with on the street. I'm reserving 150HP High for if and when I take the MTS 1200 to a track! :-)

Here lies the true beauty of the MTS 1200. You can change so much of the setup and riding characteristics with the press of a few buttons! If you don't like the stock settings, spend a little time playing with the settings and you'll find a set that works for you! Changing riding modes to suit the conditions AS you ride never gets old.
