[DucatiST] Re: GPS, how about TomTom

Robert,

I don't have any recommendations but I have an observation. I have both a Garmin GPSMAP 376C and now a new Garmin Montana 600. I bought the Montana 600 (it does Marine and multiple road displays) in the hopes that it would be a suitable replacement for the old 376C but have been very disappointed with the Montana. The 376C went from boat to car to motorcycle and back without a hiccup for failure. The Montana has been problematic from the start, both from hardware and most certainly from buggy software standpoints.

Don't know about the Zumo 550 but it is designed for motorcycles...

Best,
Dave

Do the "motorcycle grade" Zumo series units really overcome this problem? Any insight would be appreciated as i'm getting ready to pull the trigger.
