Honestly, I'd not chop the ST2 around because they are getting rarer all the time and sought after by the cognoscenti who want a true sport-tourer rather than a so-called adventure bike like a Multistrada. There are tons of cheap Monsters around already and a hacked-around ST2 won't be worth very much when you have finished with it, you certainly wouldn't get your money back for the conversion. Just advertise the ST2 in the right places like this liST and you will find a buyer. I had to look for a while to find mine and can't imagine selling it until Ducati come up with something similar again. Now a Multistrada in ST clothes (lower, with different bars and a proper fairing), that would get me interested!
If you really must have a Monster and can't wait just go to a dealer and do a deal for one that's in stock, saves time and money and keeps another ST on the road.
