When I lived in Ontario I was stunned that basic insurance for an FJ1200 was over $800 despite the fact that it's only possible to ride for about six months of the year. For my Jeep I could get insurance for six months at a time, but of course not for the bike. Just because the insurance companies are greedy doesn't mean they are stupid...
