Thanks to all who replied. I eventually went for ProBolt stainless replacements; although the taper of the 'needle' is sharper than the Brembo ones the tip is sharp, which means it should seal the hole properly.
I was very interested in the speed bleeders but boy are they expensive!
I plan to install the rebuilt calipers back on the bike this weekend.
