Thanks for the feedback Mike.

I have a used set coming my way so I can afford to play with them or not. I won't cut the fairing until I am absolutely convinced that they will be an improvement.

Did you stay with the wellnuts, or did you upgrade to the Dzuz fittings?

Well I don't want to sound sore or anything, as that's not real nice, but..... I've done the conversion with an A grade mechanic, doubts were put forward by him and overridden by me, ..now, I am stuck with it. As to do the job, the upper edges of the lower fairing must be cut off with the angle grinder to allow the stainless brackets to do their job and let the fasteners to catch through them thereby allowing the upper fairing to stay in place when you easily remove the lowers. Only it ain't that easy to get it all back together again. I've done several adjustments each time the fairing was off and it is improving, but you can't go back. The position of the fasteners on the right side of the bike, behind the water bottle, make attaching the fasteners tough, so little faith in them. It is easier to remove the lowers, yes, but it isn't that hard to lift the top either.' Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.'
