In the UK there's an outfit called Screwfix who started supplying tools,
fasteners etc. to tradesmen but opened up to the public some years back. I
have bought boxes of 50 or 100 cap head stainless M6 or whatever screws for
the cost of one or two fasteners from a bike dealer.
I'd assume you could do the same in the US from Sears/ Home Depot etc.,
though the metric threads may be an issue.
