That's a good question.

I believe it's, "it's the cat's meow", or "that's the cat's meow".

Or, "smooth as a cat's ass".

Back in the 70's, while in high school, I used to paint industrial structures for a retired former WW2 B-25 bomber pilot, Col. Bill, during the summer.

He was fond of remarking, "Nick, that's as smooth a cat's ass" when he commented on one of my completed paint jobs.

Thanks for the memory, he was a funny guy, but passed away years ago.

p.s., his other favorite saying was "I don't give a rat's ass", =, "I don't care".
