I had the original Road Pilot "1"s on my ST3 when purchased new. Terrible tire. Swore off all Michy's they were that bad. Desperately needed tires as my Angel rear was down to the steel cords. No local shop had any, and I needed tires right away. Settled for Road Pilot "3"s at a decent sale price, otherwise they are too pricey IMO. *Excellent* tires so far. Handling very neutral with effortless transitions, and they inspire confidence in corners. Braking not as good as Angels IMO, but good enough. I recommend them, as I do Pirelli Angels. I can't do a fair comparo, as the Angels were so shagged, I forgot how well they handled when new. I think I got about 8K miles out of the rear, and it felt like the Pilot Road 1s did when they were new. :-)

It's new rubber time for my '06 ST3. I'm getting alot of varing opinions. I'm thinking: Dunlop Q2, Michelen Pilot 2CT, Power Pure, or Pilot Road 2. I ride my bike like what it was made for, long distance cruising, and hard core riding/cornering when i get there. Also I live in the Southwest so wet weather is not my biggest concern. Any thoughts?
