Your countershaft sprocket wears out before an aluminum sprocket out back? That's highly irregular unless there is a misalignment. And a misalignment might not be easy to see. There are a couple different standoff height countershaft Ducati use, just a few mm difference. You don't have any leaks around the countershaft do you? Just curious as while using a Scott Oiler they can be difficult to detect and if the runout is off it would also cause unusual countershaft sprocket wear.
Personal preference I won't run a 14t in front and make gearing adjustments in the rear. Most people I know are running 15/41 and it seems to set a balance between keeping a firm drive/acceleration and top speed along with cpmfortable rpm vs cruise in tops gears. In other words, you aren't hunting for a gear at speed.

I prefer 14/43.
I use a Scottoiler on all of my Ducatis, fronts wear out before the
chain or the aluminum rears.
