Thanks for the advice I was going to do it on the weekend but after having an unroadworthy sticker put on my work car priorities have changed

Just a quick remark about brake cleaner - I've had some that started to lift the paint on the crankcase and heads. Bad stuff - you might want to consider electric contact cleaner or other solvent that does not screw up the paint.

Good luck finding the leak.
