Thanks for all your replies, I really wanted to adjust the beam for when I carry a pillion, not brighter lights, (I have already got a HID low beam, which is unbelievably good) - looks like i am stuck for now.
I have another question. On my bike there is no sidestand down switch, I would like to fit one because its far too easy to leave it down - I believe this is fitted on later models, does the group know whether that is an easy retrofit? I am only worried about the hardware, I can sort out the electronics (just to sound a buzzer).
