Hydraulic preload sounds good. Its extremely difficult (at least I found it so) to adjust the preload on the ST2, I did actually buy a C spanner but you just can't get in there for the frame tubes etc and the adjuster rings are a bit narrow to get a grip without slipping.
I am going to see if I can somehow 'remote' the standard beam adjuster, dont know how yet, but I will have a look this weekend.

Adjustment is a pain if you have to get a spanner out every time you have a passenger. A spanner is (a lot) cheaper than the excellent Ohlins unit, it depends on your budget.
