I had them (assuming they are the same things I worked with Charlie to develop).
They worked really well, but indeed worked better with longer reach Dzus fittings. I used nickel Superbike ones that were a bit longer.
I liked them a lot, very easy to remove/install lowers but was also sturdier than stock.
