I felt that 15/44 was perfect on my ST2. The stock 15/42 was too high both at low speeds and at higher speeds. I ran 14/42 for a while, but noticed some harmonics at certain speeds from one being an even multiple of the other. When I put on a new chain and new sprockets, 15/44 was the obvious choice and it worked well for me.

My main use is up in the hills at 30-50 mph. For a long highway trip, i think i would switch out the front back to stock for better mileage/engine noise. Does anyone have experience with a 14/43 setup? I also checked through previous posts, and no one has commented on the stock 15/43 for the ST4. QW and others have good things to say about the stock ST2 setup.
