The Ducati came 5th at Calistoga, another 30 yards and he would have been 3rd.

Kid is riding real well and the point leader for rookie of the year.

I talked with one the team techs after the race and he said they are on a shoestring keeping 2 bikes going but that they are committed and have a 796 to experiment with.

The current bikes are either 1000 or 1100 (I forget) and might have too much.

I heard a similar thing at Laguna in 2010 from a DNA employee,

that the 1100 Hyper had too much power and that the employees all preferred riding the 796 since it was much harder to get into trouble with it but it was just as fast.
