The point that Jack made about cam-drive-line slop affecting timing is still true with chains.
OTOH, I didn't say this before in the ST thread, but one of the reasons I didn't buy an ST4 when it came out was because of the expense of valve maintenance -- I wasn't feeling up to doing it, and it's preciously close to $0.10 per mile for that alone to pay somebody to do it.
So it's nice to see Ducati addressing the cost of maintenance.
