If you can swing it, then buy the Ohlins valve kit for the Showa and have them installed when you have the rebuild done. Trust me, you will NOT regret it. It does an amazing job of controlling the front end. Use the Ohlins 19 fluid as well.
Thanks for the confidence building. Yes, the shock and the forks will get rebuilt before being installed. Judging by the oil on the fork legs, the seals are shot anyway. A set of seal savers will be installed while everything is apart. There is a local guy here that services Olins.

BTW, I got the mounting bracket for the preload adjuster when I got the shock.

Yes, it will all fit and nicely so.
Take the time to install new bearings and seals while you have it all disassembled.

I will admit that I should have asked first, then purchased, instead of the other way round, but it was too good deal to pass up.
I picked up the forks, shock and aluminium swing arm off of a 2002 ST4S to replace the stock components on my 2002 ST2. I assume that this is a direct swap, at least I am hoping that this is the case.
Can anyone confirm if this is a straight bolt on?
Thanks for the help
