Thanks for all the help.
I went to Harbor freight and picked up a drift set, picked one out and heated the tip and bent it to almost 90 degrees. It fit right in an worked quite well.
I stuck the new bearings in the chest freezer for about 6 hours and they went in with no trouble at all. I used a small square of mdf scrap and a 28mm impact wrench socket from Northern tool that just happens to have a very close diameter to the outer race of the wheel bearings.
There are a pair of bearings in the sprocket carrier that I hammered out and re-packed, since they seemed to be in good condition. They are held in by a circlip.
Since I have the wheels off and the tires are almost gone (10,000 mi on a pair of Pilot Road 2's) I am going to take them somewhere tomorrow and have a set of PR 3s put on and balanced.
Thanks again.
