No hype involved! Paul is right on both counts, a beautiful piece of kit, and the highest quality inevitably comes at a premium.

The obvious benefits are longevity, and smooth action. I only have 16,000 miles on mine but so far so good. It's as smooth and quiet as when it was new.

The main benefit for me however is a less tangible feeling of overall quality. When each and every component is made as perfectly as possible, without regard to cost, there is a cumulative effect that can't be produced any other way.
