I recall mine being way loose, too (1998 ST2). It wasn’t boogered up; just a loose fit.

   The allen bit that I have used for years fits like a glove, no slop at all. I just used it today for the foot pegs on my 860, perfect.
    I might mic some of my others to see whats up.
