Check out the different Ducati businesses or ebay parts and find a replacement. Get one that has a magnet in it and do not get one made from aluminum...aluminium for those on the farside of the pond. Aluminum will eventually round off and then you're back to "cavemaning" it...hammer and chisel. Some have a hex head, some have a hex socket, some have an o-ring seal if I recollect correctly...name your poison.

You can use a medium grinding paste, or the old timers would dip the end in oil, and in to sand or floor sweepings to take up the slack.

And, yes, you want to use a 10mm hex bit not an allen wrench. There's too much flex and not enough leverage for the allen wrench to be effective.

Did the same (checked with a 10mm), and it is indeed a bit sloppy, but agree that is the right size as I do not have a larger allen for my ratchet.
