[DucatiST] Re: shorai-lfx18a1-bs12-lithium-iron-battery

I installed the Shorai battery last December on my 2002 4s. You really need their special tender, which I obtained in March. The cost of the battery was $168.25 and the tender was $71.95 or $240.20 USD. The weight difference is amazing and I haven't needed to keep this battery on a tender during the riding season. I have used the Shorai tender for extended winter time non-use. The battery comes with a bunch of foam blocks that you can cut to size to fill up the original battery space so the new battery doesn't flop around. As I use LT's fan switch almost all the time riding in the city it doesn't appear to cause any problems with the Shorai.
Ciao!
