Get a good float charger, NOT a trickle charger.
The float will keep it about 14V, which is below gassing. I've left my original batt in my 2005 Multi on a Battery Tender whenever is is parked, since new. Still working great.
On the floor won't matter for discharging, that is from batteries a LONG time ago.
If they are charged, the freezing level is very, very low (and not all batts are the same).
Doesn't hurt to remove it, but I never do.
I certainly would NOT remove the acid, and in a AGM battery you can't anyway.
We have large stationary batteries that are almost 30 years old and going strong. Always kept charged.
